Welcome to Peculiar Nirvana!

I’m incredibly excited as I’m putting this new blog, vlog, and brand together. I’m not quite sure where to start, because I feel like I’ve been preparing this blog my entire life. From writing and restarting the outline in my 50,000 journals to actually starting a physical blog (only a million different times). I write just about everyday but it never ALL gets out there, at least not the way I wanted it too.

NOW, is MY time. Now is my time to finally take the leap and start.

Let’s rewind.
What is Peculiar Nirvana?

Peculiar Nirvana started as my escape place. I would tune the world out and tune in to myself. It started as place in my head where I would go to disassociate. A place I could go where I felt no one could find or define me. My mental hideaway.

I battled myself about becoming more reserved with my life but honestly, that’s not who I am. I’m over being reserved about my thoughts and opinions. I’m going to share what I believe is meaningful in hopes that it reaches somebody out there and makes a real difference.

I feel as though I could help another person- another person just like me, another person with a similar story. Either way, I’m learning to put myself out there. Sharing and spreading valuable and empowering information that I have learned through my life trials and tribulations with a side of my shenanigans.

For about 4 years, I fought back and forth with myself about making Peculiar Nirvana a virtual space for others like me, and-well here I am.

To me, this means building a life of purpose, love, and goodness, sprinkled with tons of creativity, music, art, beauty, knowledge, wisdom, and culture. To you, it may mean something else. We each have our own innate sense of our ideal life and world.

I am forever a student, and as I continue to learn: to read, take classes, face my fears, meet new people, and find inspiration, I find myself in awe again and again. I’d love to share that with the world, and discover what you all read, learn, and are inspired by as well.

Through Peculiar Nirvana, I will be sharing what I learn covering topics in lifestyle, personal growth, creativity, culture, and whatever else moves me.

Peculiar Nirvana is now OUR safe sanctuary.
Are you ready? I am . . . finally.

Life is a lot easier once you learn to stop caring about what others think of you. It was an issue for me again as I decided to do something different with my life against the backdrop of conventional family/peers. In the end, nothing matters except for what you feel about yourself. Nobody should be able to take your confidence, your smile, or your dreams away from you. Don’t be afraid to be yourself and take control of your life. -Aileen
